DELIVERY / PUMP DRIVER - Coquitlam, BC

Delivery / Pump Driver

As a confident and personable individual, the delivery driver is responsible for safely operating a flat deck truck with trailers up to 40 feet in length to perform assigned duties on designated routes and events. The pump truck driver is responsible for safely operating a heavy-duty septic/vacuum truck to perform assigned duties on designated routes and events. This position is responsible for efficiently servicing assigned customers, while complying with all local, provincial, and federal transportation regulations and with company policies.

What your day will look like:

  • Performing Pre- and Post- trip vehicle inspections of assigned vehicle
  • Working closely with dispatch to improve route efficiencies
  • Following route assignments throughout the day and completes all documentation when checking in at the end of the route
  • Servicing portable toilets on a service route
  • Delivering and removing portable toilets and executive washroom trailers
  • Operating different types of equipment as required (flat deck trucks, trailers, small vacuum service trucks)
  • Providing exceptional customer service skills in the field
  • Ensuring that all safety policy and procedures are being followed i.e. proper PPE, ensuring the vehicle is equipped with the proper equipment, etc.
  • Must report all significant events on road including, but not limited to, any incidents or accidents, violations, near misses, site safety issues, etc.
  • To drive in a defensive manner, be away of surrounding and look ahead, leave a safe distance between vehicles, be a professional and courteous driver
  • Understanding of logistics and geography of the lower mainland
  • Managing time and routes in an efficient manner
  • Service the portable toilet units as per the company’s policy while following company procedure

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Work experience in the portable toilet or waste service industry (preferred)
  • Excellent knowledge of the city and surrounding area
  • Clean drivers abstract
  • Exceptional customer service skills

Qualifications

  • Class 5 driver’s license (with Air Endorsement preferred)
  • Class 3 or 1 license considered an asset
  • Experience with trailers considered an asset
  • Clean drivers abstract (30 days or newer)
  • Strong communication skills (written/verbal)
  • Must be physically able to lift, carry and/or push objects weighing more than 50lbs

YARD PERSON - Coquitlam, BC

Yard Person

As a confident and personable individual, the yard person is responsible for efficiently maintaining the yard. In addition to maintaining the yard he or she is required to manage assets, repair and clean toilets and acquire a good understanding of the company inventory control process.  This role requires a dynamic person who can embrace change and effectively provide support to other lines of businesses, cross training will be provided to accomplish this task.

What your day will look like:

  • Responsible for maintaining presentation of toilets (i.e. pressure washing, graffiti removal, replacing: decals, broken handles, hand sanitizer dispensers, seats, etc.) All units MUST be delivered to customer sites with decals on all 4 sides.
  • Daily inspections of yard, picking up lose debris, maintaining general cleanliness.
  • Organizing all storage areas for parts, tools, and consumable supplies
  • Segregating the yard, ensuring all assets (bins, toilets) are all in their designated area
  • Preparing executive washroom trailers for customer delivery
  • Ensures warehouse and yard opening and closing procedures are followed and completed daily
  • Confirms that all warehouse procedures and protocols are being followed by all warehouse staff throughout the entire day
  • Daily inventory of consumable products
  • Monthly asset inventory
  • Responsible for receiving materials for yard and shop
  • Help provide new employees with training and orientation
  • Reports concerns or inappropriate behaviour to manager for resolution
  • Ability to foresee daily challenges, workload and changing operational circumstances and adapt accordingly
  • Participates on the Occupational Health and Safety committee
  • Additional tasks will be allocated by the operations supervisor on an ad hoc base and based on the operational needs.

  • Valid Class 5 BC drivers license, with a clean drivers abstract
  • High School Diploma
  • Forklift license
  • Heavy lifting at times up to 100lbs
  • Steel toe boots required

Pump Truck Driver

As a confident and personable individual, the pump truck driver is responsible for safely operating a heavy-duty septic/vacuum truck to perform assigned duties on designated routes. This position is responsible for efficiently servicing assigned customers, while complying with all local, provincial, and federal transportation regulations and with company policies.

What your day will look like:

  • Performing Pre- and Post- trip vehicle inspections of assigned vehicle
  • Operating a septic vacuum service vehicle while servicing portable toilets throughout a designated route.
  • Follow routes assignments and make sound decisions on prioritizing tasks
  • Ensuring the highest quality of service to all customers
  • Complete all documents while checking in at the end of the shift
  • Communicate with dispatch throughout the day
  • Ensure that all safety policies and procedures are being followed i.e. having proper PPE, ensuring the vehicle is equipped with the proper equipment such as a dolly and straps.
