JOURNEYMAN HEAVY DUTY MECHANIC - Coquitlam, BC

Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic

We are looking for a Journeymen Heavy Duty Mechanic with experience in working with vacuum vessels, pumps, and hydraulics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and diagnosis of our truck fleet of approximately 18 vehicles (as well as various trailers), disassembling and reassembling components such as engine, cooling system, fuel and exhaust systems, brake maintenance, regular PM servicing and ordering the necessary materials and parts that will be required to complete repairs.

What your day will look like:

  • Supports company environmental, health, safety, security practices and policies
  • Testing equipment for proper performance and ensuring that all work done meets manufacturers’ specifications and legislated regulations
  • Diagnosing various equipment faults or malfunctions
  • Keeping equipment cleaned, lubricated and maintained
  • Interpreting work orders and technical manuals
  • Writing service reports
  • Purchasing and inventory management

Delivery Truck Driver

As a confident and personable individual, the Roll Off truck driver is responsible for safely operating a heavy-duty Roll Off truck to perform assigned duties on designated routes. This position is responsible for efficiently servicing assigned customers, while complying with all local, provincial, and federal transportation regulations and with company policies.

What your day will look like:

  • Possessing a valid Class 1 or 3 with air breaks driving license
  • Operating a single axel and or tandem/tridem Roll Off vehicle while servicing Roll Off containers throughout a designated route. Service includes delivery, service and removal of roll of containers based on the customer needs.
  • Performing Pre- and Post- trip vehicle inspections of assigned vehicle
  • Following proper loading, dumping and unloading procedures.
  • Ensure the cargo securement policy is being followed.
  • Possessing an excellent knowledge of the city and its surrounding area.
  • Assessing routes and making sound decisions on prioritizing and tasks to efficiently service customers.
  • Ensuring the highest quality of service to all customers
  • Following route assignments throughout the day and completing all documents while checking in at the end of the shift.

The Sales & Customer Experience Specialists are responsible for following call center policy and procedures including meeting call center standards, employee sales, improving quality service (Customer Excellence) and accomplishing organizational goals.

Flex Driver

What your day will look like:

YARD PERSON / SPARE DRIVER - Calgary, AB

Yard Person/Spare Driver

As a confident and personable individual, the yard person is responsible for efficiently maintaining the yard. In addition to maintaining the yard he or she is required to manage assets, repair and clean toilets and acquire a good understanding of the company inventory control process.  This role requires a dynamic person who can embrace change and effectively provide support to other lines of businesses, cross training will be provided to accomplish this task.

What your day will look like:

  • Responsible for maintaining presentation of toilets (i.e. pressure washing, graffiti removal, replacing: decals, broken handles, hand sanitizer dispensers, seats, etc.) All units MUST be delivered to customer sites with decals on all 4 sides.
  • Daily inspections of yard, picking up lose debris, maintaining general cleanliness.
  • Organizing all storage areas for parts, tools, and consumable supplies
  • Segregating the yard, ensuring all assets (bins, toilets) are all in their designated area
  • Preparing executive washroom trailers for customer delivery
  • Ensures warehouse and yard opening and closing procedures are followed and completed daily
  • Confirms that all warehouse procedures and protocols are being followed by all warehouse staff throughout the entire day
  • Daily inventory of consumable products
  • Monthly asset inventory
  • Responsible for receiving materials for yard and shop
  • Help provide new employees with training and orientation
  • Reports concerns or inappropriate behaviour to manager for resolution
  • Ability to foresee daily challenges, workload and changing operational circumstances and adapt accordingly
  • Participates on the Occupational Health and Safety committee
